The first session
During the first session we will think about what has brought you to therapy at this time, any previous experience of therapy that you have had, what changes you want to make in your life, what might be a helpful way to work and what it might be like to have therapy. I understand that coming for the first time can be a difficult step to take so I will attempt to ease the way for you.
It is important to me to make sure that my clients feel as comfortable as they can in order that they are able to engage with the work which may be challenging and difficult for them. My studio/therapy room provides a calm and peaceful atmosphere and is in a converted Victorian wash-house in the garden of my house.
I offer a professional, confidential, respectful and compassionate service. I have monthly supervision as is required by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I adhere to the BACP code of practice and ethics and engage in regular continuing professional development. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Councils (HCPC) as an art therapist. I have a full and up to date CRB certificate.
Prices: Individuals – £40 per session, Couples – £45 per session. Some concessions are available. (Prices will be increasing to £45 per session for individuals and £50 for couples in the new year).
